This is a commission for the lovely xanacostia of her gorgeous girl, Romi
I put so much effort into this omg. It was exactly what I needed to pull me out of my art block.

Overall, this is an absolutely gorgeous piece. I know the character well as both she and one of my characters are good friends; the picture in my mind of Romi looks very, very similar to this, and I hope that Romi's owner would agree with me on the fact that she matches the description superbly. Also, because I know the character, I know her personality, and that is definitely reflected in this piece. Romi is basically a benevolent, beautiful mare, and your artwork conveys this. It's always important to get the mood right for a certain horse, and I do believe you've hit the spot for Romi.

Onto the details now! The horse is gorgeous, and you've obviously taken your time to prep it. For me, the mane and tail are probably the most difficult part, but you've made it look so easy! They flow and fit in with the background -- you can tell that they're not lifeless and certainly don't look drawn in.
So, the only reason you didn't get 5/5 for technique as that I personally felt like the lighting was wrong in this image. Many might disagree with me, but for me, the lighting is coming from the back right of the image and the horse's shadow doesn't really fit in with that. Probably just a minor detail, but shadows and light can have a big impact on the image.

Other than those minor things, this is a lovely concept and fits my personal 'image' of Romi perfectly!
